Repeatedly drawing the same shape.
You may find it annoying that when you are using the Drawing toolbar, you have to keep clicking on the shape you want even though you are repeatedly drawing the same shape. However, you can easily have Word remember what shape you are drawing. To do this:
-
Double-click on the button that contains the shape you want from the Drawing toolbar.
-
Draw as many of that shape as you wish.
-
When you are finished, or want to draw a new shape, press Esc.
Drawing perfect squares and circles.
You can easily add perfect squares and circles into any Word document. To do this, simply hold down the Shift key while drawing any square or circle.
Moving a drawing object by a precise amount.

While working in Word, you may want to move a drawing object in Word a precise or minute amount that is not possible with the mouse. However, you can do this with a keyboard. To do this:
-
Go to the Drawing Toolbar.
-
Open the Draw menu.
-
Click Grid.
-
Under Snap to Grid, deselect Snap to Grid.
-
Click OK.
-
Select the object you want to move by clicking on it once.
-
Press the corresponding arrow key on your keyboard with the direction you want to move the object.
-
Each time you press an arrow, the object will be "nudged" .01 of an inch.
